The requirement list for the assignment:
-a 2-D motion diagram
-a model of the motion layering, illustrating your snapshots from the chosen parkour video.
-a 3-D (final) model, representing the abstraction of the space that the figure occupies, produced from the layered model

Scientific approach for re-constructing the motion itself
b. Motion - defining as a whole
(juxtaposed of visible/invisible fragments)
1. Visible and/or Invisible Fragments of Motion
a. Motion - re-constructed by fragments (making fragments visible)

b. Motion - defining as a whole
(juxtaposed of visible/invisible fragments)
We cannot
see each fragments like the scientific approach; in fact, we do not need to distinguish each of them for
defining/understanding the whole pattern of motion, we can sense its inner quality as a
whole.

2. Montage
1. each fragment
2. juxtaposition of each fragment (different speed, different density, different stress)

exploring visual forms of movement
you can visit the site http://www.universaleverything.com/film for a series of design works exploring movement, human body and choreography.
hybrid techniques of mapping movement
Jorinde Voigt's drawings deal with time, rhythm, frequency, acoustic pulses, transformations, loops, etc. In her work, she maps concepts of temporality and relates these to geometry that reflects movement and transformations over time. Voigt also developed a notational system of symbols and characters that convey information on movement, speed, orientation, intensity etc. You can visit her website http://jorindevoigt.com/ to see more of her work.
